overall experience actually exceeded our expectations

We stayed at Trullo Rondini with our 3 children 15,12 and 10 for a week in July and had a wonderful experience ,in what can only be described as an absolute gem, close to the beautiful town of Alberobello.

The furnishings and overall specification of the Trullo, was first class and our overall experience actually exceeded our expectations from the web sites that advertised it. Not only did the house itself offer superb facilities and space, but the surrounding gardens and landscape pool areas which were stunning, meant that having lunch and diner was a very special experience.

The owner has without question gone the extra mile and then some to create a wonderful holiday experience, one we hope to repeat for many years to come!

What a great location for exploring Puglia

We were charmed by the building, calmed by the area and thoroughly relaxed after our time at Trullo Rondini. It is so much nicer to have the pool to yourself, and the surroundings are just fabulous, quiet and serene and yet just 15 minutes walk into town – the best of both worlds!

Definitely be back, in fact we are already planning!

Alberobello is charming, like a fairy tale!

Alberobello is known as the Capital of the Trulli. The trullo is a fascinating architectural feature of this area of Puglia, a building with conical roof made without mortar. Alberobello has special status internationally – designated a UNESCO world heritage site – because its collection of some 1,500 trulli in an urban environment is unique.

Some of the trulli are now used for stores, restaurants, and lodging. But many are still inhabited by locals, who are very friendly to visitors. As a world heritage site, Alberobello is a tourist attraction, but as it is less accessible from the tourist-heavy west coast, it is not overrun by tourists, and most tourists of Alberobello are Italians.

The town is the centre of an annual pilgrimage to the Basilica dedicated to the martyr saints Cosma and Damiano.

Trullo Rondini is just a 1.5Km from the town, and of course staying here means you get to stay in a Trullo, but a Trullo with all mod cons!

Find out more about the area: http://wikitravel.org/en/Alberobello
