FAQ

Do I need to bring linen?

Of course not! All bed linen, towels and beach towels are provided.

Where is the nearest shop?

There are numerous shops in Alberobello ranging from a fabulous butcher, really first class baker and greengrocers for field fresh vegetables.  Shops are typically open until 8pm, but may well shut in the afternoon. If you prefer a one stop shop then there is an excellent supermarket on the outskirts of Alberobello, open daily until 8pm but closed on Sunday and certain afternoons.  It is worth stocking up on Saturday because generally shops are not open Sunday.

Is there a welcome pack?

Not as a rule, but if you can advise us of what you require and what time you are arriving then the local agents can arrange to have things you need waiting for your arrival at the property.

How do I get the keys?

Once you arrive at your airport it is advisable to call the agents office to confirm you have arrived and are on your way. The agent will arrange to meet you close to Trullo Rondini so you can follow them to the property where they will show you around and help you with any queries you might have.

Can I convert the twins to doubles?

The master bedroom already is a double, the second and third bedrooms can be made up as twins or doubles.

What if I need a Doctor?

When you arrive there is a welcome pack which gives you details of local doctors, pharmacy, who to contact in case of emergency or if something is not working etc. You will also find that people who stay tend to pass on their recommendations for local sights and restaurants as well, and we hope you will add to these during your stay!

Having said that if you need specific information on doctors or other services you will need whilst staying then please get in touch with the local agents in Alberobello.

Is the property child friendly?

We have done our best to ensure you don’t need to worry unduly about the safety of your children. Although the property sleeps 6 people comfortably, we can arrange for up to 2 cots for babies in the property. The swimming pool is fully fenced off and can be locked – but as with any pool this does not mean you should assume it is fully child proof, and parental judgement and supervision is required!

I speak no Italian, will this be a problem?

You’ll be fine! Alberobello is a very popular tourist destination and most of the restaurants and shopkeepers will speak some English; the same applies to the lidos by the beaches. Most restaurants in Alberobello have English translations of their menus, and the service is very friendly. You certainly don’t need to but they usually appreciate it if you try a few words in Italian, if you can manage it.

If you venture further afield in Puglia, and we hope you do, you’ll find there is less English spoken – but the locals are very friendly and you’ll get by with a little pointing and acting out!

What if something goes wrong in the property?

The agents are based nearby in Alberobello and are all English and multi-lingual. You’ll have their office and mobile numbers so you can contact then in an emergency. Any problems or anything you need, just call – they’re there for you to ensure you enjoy your holiday to the full!
